DIY inexpensive facial recognition Arduino control
Facial recognition and Arduino? Yes - it is possible, however with the aid of a Windows-based computer and a webcam. The process has been explained by Instructables user "shadowinfinity" with an interesting solution to the problem. They use a PC and webcam and Key Lemon facial recognition software that takes care of human-machine interface. When a face has been recognised the software sends a character to the Arduino via USB which commands it to take action - in this example switching a door strike.
